Review
Lost Kingdoms II is the the sequel to one of the 'Cube's finest RPGs. It stars a
girl named Tara who was the daughter of the kingdom's queen. She had an identical twin, and to avoid conflict over who
would someday rule the throne, was abandoned in the streets to live the normal life while her sister would remain royal. However,
Tara's mother gave her the legendary Runestone which gave her the power to summon monsters and fight off predators. Although
her mom was heartbroken after giving up one of her daughters, she felt that at least Tara would have something to remember
her by. Tara was taken in by a group of theives who took care of her and taught her their trade and how to fight. Time has
passed and now Tara is a a beautiful young woman who continues to work for the theives and trusts no one. She still has the
Runestone and won't let anyone take it from her.
An evil force has risen and is destroying the kingdom using fake Runestones that are almost as powerful
as the real one, and Tara (along with the one, true Runestone) is the only one who can save the kingdom, while at the
same time she also tries to learn more about her past. The game is fun, charming, and if you liked
the first Lost Kingdoms, you'll love this one. My only gripes are that the music and graphics (which are
good) could be better, the story needs more detail, and the game is rather short for an
RPG. Controls are good once you learn them and multiplayer is fun but a little flawed.
Hopefully the next installment will improve on these faults. RPG fans should check Lost Kingdoms II out.
Rent it if you're uncertain.
