PoKe TV/Show/Anime
(アニメ)
The next season of Pokemon in America debuts on Kids WB this fall. It'll feature the new world
and Pokemon found in Ruby and Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance.
Pokemon DVDs are indeed available in America. After some research it appears they can be bought
on the internet at various websites. The first 3 seasons are available. The first 5 seasons of the Japanese Pokemon are also
available on DVD.
It appears that there will be a change in the Pokemon series in the upcoming season. Ash and
Brock will sport new outfits, Misty is leaving (boo hoo), and the girl trainer from Ruby and Sapphire (known as May if you
play as the boy) is replacing her (?). We are unsure why the weird (and unfortunate) change is occuring but it looks
like it might be pretty cool (just as long as Misty ain't gone for good. Hopefully she'll come back like Brock did when he
left).
The second season of Pokemon is now showing on Cartoon Network weekday mornings at 9:00 AM
e/p. Pokemon is also airing on said channel Monday - Thursday evenings at 9:00 e/p. It is also on Kids' WB, although we don't
have the times yet.
PoKe Games (ゲーム)
Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire (the sequel to the suprisingly fun and addictive Pokemon
Pinball) has landed in Japan and hits the U.S. next month for the Game Boy Advance.
PoKe Movies (映画)
The lastest Pokemon movie in the U.S. supposedly came out last May and was called "Pokemon Heroes".
But I never saw it at any local theaters...
The newest Pokemon (or Pocket Monsters) movie is coming soon to Japan. It's nickname
(which is in english, unlike it's title) is Pokemon Movie 2003. It hits Japan on July 19th.
Last year's Poke movie in Japan makes its TV debut on TV Tokyo, July 15th from 7:00 to 9:00.
PoKe MARTS/Centers (ポケモンセンター)
Currently, there are four stores world wide that are nothing but Pokemon. They are called Pokemon
Center. There is three in Japan and one in the U.S. Japan's are in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. You can find the U.S. one in
New York. They feature all sorts of stuff like the games, comics/manga, videos/DVDs, toys, cards, whatever! You can also access
them online at www.pokemoncenter-online.com (there's a catch. Hopefully you know Japanese.).
